Even though it was bitter cold today, my guy Larry and I ventured out to the Plymouth Ice Festival and wandered around taking pictures of the beautiful ice sculptures. I'm not much of a cold outdoors kind of person, but I'm determined to make it though the winter without whining too much. So, I think it's good for me to try and enjoy all the seasons we have here in Michigan.
I actually enjoyed the fresh, crisp cold . I bundled up in lots of layers, a scarf, two hats, boots and good gloves and stayed warm most of the time. I do admit that my feet got cold (I think it's time to get a better pair of boots), but the rest of me stayed warm and toasty.
We drank hot cider and ate candied cashews and Larry ate a corn dog while I snapped more pictures. Even though the sun was shining brightly, the temp was only around 11 degrees. But that sun shining on all of the more than 100 ice sculptures warmed my heart. It was beautiful!
